Facial Specialist Program
Gulf Coast Academy, located in Fort Myers, Florida, offers a comprehensive 220-hour state-approved Facial Specialist (Skin Care) Program designed to prepare students for rewarding careers as licensed estheticians.
The program emphasizes hands-on training and provides in-depth instruction in skin analysis, facial treatments, product knowledge, sanitation, and client care — giving students the confidence and skills to succeed in spas, medspas, and dermatology settings.
To accommodate busy schedules, the program is offered in two flexible formats:
In-Person
Attend live classes, demonstrations, and clinical training on campus in Fort Myers.
Hybrid
Complete theory modules online through our learning portal, then come to campus for required hands-on labs, demonstrations, and supervised client treatments.
Both formats follow the same state-approved curriculum and lead to licensure as a Facial Specialist in Florida.
We offer day and evening classes, as well as payment plans and Affirm financing options for those who need flexible tuition support.

Under the guidance of licensed professionals, students receive practical experience with:
- Customized Facial Treatments - Deep cleansing, exfoliation, extractions, masks, and facial massage.
- Dermaplaning - Removing dead skin and peach fuzz for a smooth, radiant glow.
- Microdermabrasion - A non-invasive exfoliating treatment that gently removes dead skin cells to reveal a smoother, brighter complexion.
- LED Light Therapy - Target acne, signs of aging, and inflammation with light-based technology.
- Chemical Peels - Safely exfoliate and rejuvenate skin for a more even tone and texture.
- HydraFacial - A popular, non-invasive treatment combining cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, hydration, and antioxidant protection.
- Hair Removal Techniques - Includes facial waxing and other non-permanent hair removal methods.
